Course objectives

  • Cultural content creator produces experts in research studies with morality and ethics in order to gain knowledge that can lead and develop cultural content to communicate creatively.
  • Cultural practitioner promotes and supports research studies that can develop practice from cultural knowledge to social leadership in art and design.
  • Cultural curator can bring knowledge from cultural research studies. and operations To effectively manage cultural capital
  • Support and promote soft power to the national and/or international level for the sustainability of Thai culture.

Type 1.1 3 year course

Required subjects (not counting credits) 9 credits

  • 371 601 Integrated Research in Culture Based – Design Arts 3*(2-2-5)
  • 371 602 Cultural Theory and Innovation in Design Arts 3*(2-2-5)
  • 371 603 Seminar in Cultural Design Arts 3*(2-2-5)

Thesis 48 credits

Applicant qualifications

  • Hold a master’s degree in any field of study and have work related to art, design, culture, anthropology, archeology, and social science.
  • Passed the English language test according to the graduate-level regulations of Silpakorn University. You can study details of English test scores from http://www.eng.su.ac.th/upload/education-pdf
  • Note: In the event that the qualifications do not meet the criteria in items 1 and/or 2, it is at the discretion of the curriculum committee.

Documents supporting the application and interview

  • Draft of a thesis project (Proposal) that wishes to conduct research with the goal of researching areas related to arts and culture, not limited to fields. and expects to use the results of the study to apply for cultural benefits with knowledge in art and design.
  • Personal portfolio (Portfolio) that can be summarized Educational history Occupation Academic work or other creative works
  • Evidence of passing the English language test

The lump sum registration fee is 75,000 baht per semester (450,000 baht throughout the course).
