philosophy

Produce PhDs in the field of design with advanced design research capabilities. Able to demonstrate analytical processes that reflect pioneering, seeking, and independently researching knowledge or techniques. Understanding the relationship between natural, environmental and human contexts, as well as synthesis using the integration of science and art. To create new knowledge or innovation which leads to promoting academic progress and is beneficial to the social and economic development of the country

Course objectives

  • Produce doctorates in design Has the potential to produce academic works at the higher education level both nationally and internationally. Able to integrate creativity, knowledge and aesthetics Show research according to research methods and ethics. Taking into account the cultural roots of the nation
  • Create new knowledge and increase the ability to produce innovative design works. Focusing on creating the uniqueness of individual works with technology. critical thinking or new theory
  • Have good leadership and followership skills Able to work well with others. Create benefits for society and the country’s economy

Type 1.1 3-year course

Required subjects (not counting credits) total 9 credits.

  • 372 601 Seminar in Design I 3* (2-2-5)
  • 372 602 Visual Intellect 3* (2-2-5)
  • 372 603 Research in Design 3* (2-2-5)

Dissertation (equivalent value) 48 credits

  • 372 621 Dissertation has equivalent value (Thesis)

Type 1.2, 4-year course

Required subjects (not counting credits) total 9 credits.

  • 372 601 Seminar in Design I 3* (2-2-5)
  • 372 602 Visual Intellect 3* (2-2-5)
  • 372 603 Research in Design 3* (2-2-5)

Dissertation (equivalent value) 72 credits

  • 372 621 Dissertation has equivalent value (Thesis)

Type 1.1 3 year course

  • Hold a master’s degree in a design-related field.
  • At least 2 years of design experience or has received an award.
  • Honors, at the discretion of the Curriculum Administrative Committee.

Type 1.2 4 year course

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree in a design-related subject with very good academic results.
  • Won recognized design-related awards. Have standards or have been widely disseminated at the national or international level and/or have at least 10 years of experience in design work, at the discretion of the curriculum management committee
